Mentoring Panels

HFI will once again sponsor three FREE mentoring panels at HAI HELI-EXPO 2015 in Orlando. Each panel features industry experts who answer attendees’ questions and provide information on the general requirements of entry-level positions in various industry sectors, with the goal of helping attendees better understand the scope of knowledge and skill required to enter the helicopter industry. Panel members also answer general questions about the industry and available opportunities. The participating industry experts donate their time throughout the year to answer students’ questions submitted through HFI staff.

The three panels that will be offered include –

Pilot Mentoring Panel: Panel members will share their advice and expertise with students, graduates who have just completed flight school studies, and pilots already in the industry looking to obtain valuable career information from seasoned professionals.

Industry Outreach to Students Mentoring Panel: Panel members will answer questions posed by students, provide information on the general requirements of entry-level positions in various industry sectors, and assist students in better understanding the scope of knowledge and skill required in the helicopter industry. The commercial helicopter pilot and helicopter maintenance technician fields are specifically addressed.

Maintenance Technician Mentoring Panel: Several key industry experts will share their stories and wisdom with prospective or current students, recent graduates, and maintenance technicians already in the industry.

HFI had a record setting at HAI HELI-EXPO 2014 in Anaheim, California. We expect another great year in Orlando. HFI invites all interested students and those wishing to advance their careers in the helicopter industry to attend one or more of these sessions. The panels are an open forum for discussion and question and answers. A job fair will also take place during and after the panels.
